LiveCamRips.com is still a new site, and I hope they fix that search bar to give us some alternative ways of digging through the pile. On the same note, a browsable menu of tags would be a killer feature, especially since most cam archive sites tend to do a half-ass job with the tags. Any site in the genre offering a Tags index would have an immediate edge over the competition.
Currently, there are only a few ways to flip through the pile. Everything is presented newest-first on the front page, plus a section of Suggested material and a Models index. If you sign up for a free account, you can also set up your own feeds of Followed models and Liked videos. The ability to follow models is particularly useful to webcam fans who aren’t always online to catch their favorite performers.
Beneath each video, LiveCamRips lists the model’s name, the date the video was recorded, as well as the source and whether it’s a Couple or a Female. Those last couple fields caught my attention because they suggest a couple things about the site. All the videos I saw today were from Chaturbate, but the fact that they list it every time hints at future expansion. With any luck, they’ll start including other cam sites soon.
The Female/Couples designation also brings up a couple small questions about the organization of the site and the future of their content. Since they’ve taken the time to give each video one label or the other, I’m really hoping they make it a browsable option in the future, letting fans skip to the types of shows they prefer. As I’ve been whipping up this review, I’ve been poking around the site and periodically making my way back to the front page.
