Well, having just blown my whole tax return at a local dungeon with a cruel yet irresistible findomme, the price sounded right, as did the topics of conversation. To be honest, I spend almost all day every day rambling about all things perverse, so getting in on somebody else’s conversation sounded like a nice change of pace. Anyway, these user-driven places are often goldmines of unique fap fodder, so without any further ado, let’s get to it. You can ask your mistress to leave at least one of your hands, free of restraint, so you can click your way around and tap out of messages. I have to admit, when I see the word “chat” in a site’s title or the link that falls into my inbox, a few preconceived notions pop into my head. They aren’t necessarily good, either. I’m happy to report that I was way the fuck off. BDSMChat doesn’t look old or outdated. From the front, it barely looks like a chat site at all. I like the polished presentation, with a big image at the top of a red-lipped, black-haired babe with her eyes hidden by her bangs and a dog collar around her throat. It’s a sensual photograph, setting the tone for the site beautifully; the color palette and imagery border on horror while hinting at truly kinky sex, straddling one or more of those fine lines that drew you to BDSM in the first place. When does fear become arousal? Where does the pain stop and the pleasure begin?
Those are precisely the kind of questions you can ask around BDSMChat.co, of course, but I haven’t even made it to the chatrooms yet. The front page goes on to spell out some of the main chat features, most of which are barely worth mentioning here. You’ve chatted on the internet before, right? Well, you can expect the same set of perks, like file and image trading, custom avatars, private messages, and emojis. You know the drill.
Likewise, the BDSM Chat Rules are listed in a handful of bullet points. It’s a simple dead set of rules similar to what you’ll find on any decent chat website. Basically, you have to be at least 18, and you can’t act like a fucking asshole. Other than that, there are no listed rules and regulations regarding the level of perversion and depravity, which is precisely what you want with any kind of sexual chit chat, whether it’s online or in person.
Smarty-Pants Pervert Talk on the Topic of BDSM
Before I made my way to the actual chat rooms, I wanted to check out some of BDSMChat.co’s extra offerings. Since the beginning of the year, they’ve maintained an active blog of BDSM and kink articles. It’s similar to what I do over in the PornDude Blog, though these are obviously a little more bondage-oriented. There’s no set schedule, but they seem to add a new post every week or so.
The newest article on BDSM Chat is about undersung brands of condoms. It’s worth a look if you’re in the market, though I would have mentioned Kimono Microthin if I’d written it. Before that, they’d posted about BDSM aftercare, how to peg your man and a beginner’s guide to cuckolding. Their post about Marijuana and Sex rang true to my heart, to say the least.
It’s not uncommon for websites to add a throwaway blog section meant to draw users through keyword searches but isn’t really meant to be read by human eyes. BDSMChat clearly gives a fuck about the BDSM community and their users, though, because these are precise, well-written articles by writers knowledgeable on the topics. So instead of just loading bondage terms into a word salad for Google, BDSMChat.co is giving users some thoughtful meditations on subjects as serious as racial fetishes and BBW kink.
What’s Your Kink, Freak? (One of Us, One of Us!)
Not only is the blog a nice touch on the website, but each post gives users a handful of jumping-off points for conversation. That brings me to my next topic of discussion: the conversations on BDSM Chat. To that end, BDSMChat.co has around fifty different chat rooms, each devoted to a different kinky niche or fetish. A more vanilla set of sex chatrooms might force all the fetishists into one room, whether they’re into maledom or femdom, dominance, or humiliation. Here, you won’t have to settle for sort-of when it comes to your preferences.
The BDSM Chat Lobby lists all the different chatrooms, giving you quick access to each and listing the number of current participants, so you don’t end up talking to yourself. As I type this up, there’s currently a nice little crowd in the DD/lg (Daddy Dom little girl) chat room and a bunch of users over in Submissive Desires. That latter one encourages light roleplay, chat, and GIFs, so long as you also bring your respect.
The chatrooms run the gamut, from the relatively common kinks you find on any porn site (Big Black Cock, Taboo, and Anal) to deeper niches that are rarely, if ever, mentioned by the big studios. If there’s one downside to all the different BDSM Chats on the site, it’s that most of them are currently empty. While the domain is a few years old, this current incarnation of BDSMChat.co is much, much younger. The chatrooms clearly have a lot of potential, and they’ve made space for all kinds of perverts, but they’re still building the momentum they need to sustain ongoing conversations in all those chatrooms they’ve created.
The same goes for the message boards on the site. It’s a typical message board setup, the kind you’ve seen for years, only here the sub-boards are devoted to those different fetishes I’ve mentioned. There’s a board for BBW Fetish Lovers, another for Bondage and Discipline, Humiliation, Younger for Older, and the rest. The only problem is that none of them have any activity yet. They’re just waiting for you, dudes!
One thing BDSMChat has done to encourage interaction is to make signups optional. You don’t need to register to use most of the site, so I conducted most of this review with a quick guest sign-in. You still get to choose a name and chat, instantly getting in on the fun. Registered users get a bit more access, and you can even spring for a cheap VIP membership if you need some extra perks or want to support the site.
BDSMChat.co has the makings of a quality bondage/fetish chat site, with dozens of free, instantly accessible chatrooms on a wide variety of freaky, deaky kinky subjects. The only thing missing is a big-ass user base to keep the party going. This site will definitely get better as more users find out about it.
